With our chain collar made of CUROGAN, your four-legged friend is ready for the next training session. The long chain links are especially coat-friendly and reduce hair breakage on long and fine coats. As the chain has to be slipped over the dog's head, you should also take the head circumference into account when choosing the right size! We recommend collars with a ClicLock or SPRENGER hook for dogs with a significantly larger head than neck circumference.

The chain collars made of only 3mm thick CUROGAN are much more durable, safer and easier to clean than conventional collars made of nylon or leather. In addition, they look absolutely awesome on every fur length.

Not sure which wire gauge is right for your four-legged friend? Chain collars with 3 mm strength are particularly suitable for medium-sized dogs, such as Dalmatians, Dobermans, Beagles, Australian Shepherds and Labrador Retrievers.

Our CUROGAN chains are particularly suitable for dogs with light-colored fur or a nickel allergy. The material darkens over time and takes on an antique finish, but still results in less coat discoloration compared to stainless steel.

CUROGAN

This is our most hypoallergenic option and the least likely to cause discoloration. The material is nickel-free and made from a copper alloy, making it ideal for sensitive or light-coated dogs. Please note that every dog reacts differently and certain coats may still darken with prolonged exposure to the collar. Keeping the collar well-maintained will help prevent this. The collar is rust-proof and suitable for all weather conditions. It can be cleaned with water and a mild soap. Due to the copper content, the material will naturally darken over time and develop a greenish hue if left unpolished. Occasional treatment with Herm-Sprenger Diamond Paste or an equivalent cleaner will help maintain the shine. Remember to regularly inspect your Herm-Sprenger metal collar for bent prongs, damaged chain, warped rings, or other signs of weakness. While bent prongs can be gently adjusted with pliers, for any other concerns please contact our customer experience team for advice.
