Position - Lead Trainer

Canine Training and Behavior Specialist

($500 - $1200 per week)

 

Airborne K9 Dog Training is seeking a highly motivated canine training and behavior specialist to fill the position of lead trainer. This position requires an individual with a high level of discipline and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities for the Lead Trainer Position:

 

  • Create training plans for dogs based on training goals

  • Teach both dogs and owners skills needed to reach training goals

  • Remain calm and patient with difficult dogs

  • Communicate effectively with owners on all aspects of dog health and training

  • Maintain training schedules

  • Conduct consultations and work with owners to develop custom training programs

 

Qualifications for the Lead Trainer Position:

 

  • High School graduate or GED equivalent

  • Graduate of an accredited dog training academy

  • Experience working with dogs of various breeds

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients

  • Social media experience

  • Computer skills

  • Problem solving skills

 

Out of State Applicants: Temporary and long term affordable housing will be available to those moving to the area for this position.

Training Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated canine training assistant. The ideal applicant for this position should love working with animals, is self-motivated, and have a desire to learn new skills.

 

The Airborne K9 Dog Training and Behavior Center is a leading training facility in the region and continues to provide the highest quality training for all dogs of our communities.

 

Our goal is to provide assistance in all areas of canine training and behavior. All members of the Airborne K9 team are expected to continually improve their education in dog training, behavior, and well-being as well as related topics to improve our teams’ abilities to help dogs to the best of our abilities.

 

The Training Assistant position requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Must enjoy working with animals

  • Must enjoy working with people and have excellent communication skills

  • Must be a high school graduate or have a GED equivalent

  • Should have computer and social media skills

  • Should be able to problem-solve in stressful conditions

  • Detail oriented and able to follow instructions

 

Training Assistant Position Description:

  • Assist with cleaning the facility

  • Responsible for maintaining kennels

  • Must be willing to clean pet waste

  • Must be able to lift dogs up to 50lbs

  • Keeping training equipment clean and organized

  • Assist with training scenarios with Canine Training Specialists

  • Bathing and grooming dogs as needed
